ER JumpStart: Module 1
It all begins with Module 1. 12 hours of high-yield, interactive presentations over 2 days, using case-based learning and real practice experience.
There is an optional 3rd day/3-hrs to cover diagnosis and management of exotics in the ER, their special needs and how best to support them in crisis.

Day 1 contains 6 hours of interactive lectures. Lectures start later in the day to accommodate ER sleep schedules as much as possible. Lunch is included.
Day 2 contains 6 more hours of interactive lectures. Lectures start later in the day to accommodate ER sleep schedules as much as possible. Lunch is included. If you are departing after day 2, your CE certificate will be provided. If you have registered for the optional third day/additional CE hours, your CE certificate will be provided at the conclusion of day 3.
Optional Day 3 contains 3 more hours specifically focused on the special needs of exotics in the ER and how best to support them during crisis.
Lectures including: Hemoabdomen, Pericardial Effusion, GDV & Torsions, Dyspnea, CHF, Foreign Bodies, DKA, Hypoglycemia, Pancreatitis, Gastroenteritis, Nutritional Support, Anesthesia, Post-op Care, Shock, CPR, Tubes, Taps and Catheters, Golden Rule & ER Pearls, Efficiency Tips & ABVP ER Fellowship.
Optional lectures including: Birds, Reptiles, Rabbits and Small Mammals
