    We are a 10-15 min drive from DFW airport and a 30-60 min drive from Dallas Love Field airport.

  • *IMPORTANT* Street parking is available on Westgate Plaza. The hospital (Building 1 and Building 2) has limited parking for clients and staff. Please do not park in the hospital parking lot.

  • This varies by course and can be found in the course description. Each course offered by The Educated Vet is RACE approved (RACE approval currently pending). A CE certificate will be provided following course completion and CE credit will be uploaded into CE Broker.

  • Typically each lecture-based course has 10-30 attendees, allowing for discussions, questions and lots of interactions with our ER speakers. Bring your questions!

    Our RECOVER CPR courses have a maximum of 12 participants so that each person gets adequate time to practice and demonstrate their hands-on skills on the mannequins.

  • We are a casual bunch. Don’t feel the need to dress up on our account. Please dress comfortably (casual or business casual is typical). The conference room can be cool at times so bring a light sweater or jacket. For labs, please bring a scrub top and closed-toed shoes.

  • Service animals are welcome. Due to the hospital environment, personal pets cannot be accomodated.

  • Up to 15 days prior to the course start, registration may be cancelled by written request to theeducatedvet@gmail.com and the course fees will be refunded minus a $125 cancellation fee. Within 15 days the course is nonrefundable.

  • Masks are currently optional per local guidance. Please do not attend CE sessions if you have a fever, respiratory symptoms suspected to be due to an infectious cause or a positive COVID-19 test. CDC quarantine guidelines should be followed. If you have a COVID-19 related issue or cancellation, please contact us at theeducatedvet@gmail.com for assistance.

  • BY AIR:

    Direct or connecting flights are available into Dallas-Fort Worth from most major cities in the US. The course location is approximately a 10-15 min drive from DFW Airport and a 30-45 min drive from Love Field Airport. DFW has an abundance of shuttle, taxi and ride-share options including Uber and Lyft. You may prefer to have a rental car.

    BY CAR:

    The course location is just west of DFW airport near the intersection of Southlake Boulevard and Highway 114.

    If you are heading west on highway 114, exit 1709/Southlake Blvd, continue west on the access road beyond the first traffic signal and turn right onto Westgate Plaza in front of the hospital. Park along the street on Westgate Plaza.

    If you are heading east on highway 114, exit 1709/Southlake Blvd, make two left-hand turns at the intersection with 114 to U-turn onto the westbound access road, and turn right onto Westgate Plaza in front of the hospital. Park along the street at Westgate Plaza.

    Once you arrive at the Veterinary Specialty Center, please follow the signs to Building 2. Enter through the door marked “Texas Avian & Exotic Hospital” and the receptionist will direct you to the stairs/elevator. The conference room is on the second floor.

  • ACCOMODATIONS:

    There are numerous hotels in the area. Anywhere near the Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, Coppell, Las Colinas, Trophy Club or Roanoke area is a good choice and within a reasonable driving distance.

    DINING:

    DFW has many excellent restaurants of all descriptions. Tex Mex and Barbeque are popular cuisines. Some nearby recommendations are:
