It all begins with ER JumpStart: Module 1.
12 CE hours of high-yield, interactive presentations over 2 days, using case-based learning and real practice experience.
*This program is being submitted (but is not yet approved for) 12 hours of continuing education credit in jurisdictions which recognize RACE approval.
Including: Hemoabdomen, Pericardial Effusion, GDV & Torsions, Dyspnea, CHF, Foreign Bodies, DKA, Hypoglycemia, Pancreatitis, Gastroenteritis, Nutritional Support, Anesthesia, Post-op Care, Shock, CPR, Tubes, Taps and Catheters, Golden Rule & ER Pearls, Efficiency Tips & ABVP ER Fellowship.
Offered as an add-on to ER JumpStart: Module 1 is an optional 3 CE hours/3rd day of interactive lectures and discussions on evaluation and treatment of exotics in the ER. Review the special needs of these fragile patients and how to best support them in crisis. *This program is being submitted (but is not yet approved for) 3 hours of continuing education credit in jurisdictions which recognize RACE approval.

Learn how to maximize the chances of patient survival by completing the RECOVER CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Life Support (ALS) Rescuer Certification! Through the efforts of over 100 veterinary specialists, an evidence-based veterinary CPR guideline was created to provide effective training and certification in a standardized method of performing veterinary CPR and guide research in veterinary resuscitation. This course will review key concepts and provide practical training using simulated scenarios of BLS. The ALS training is conducted with veterinary-specific simulation software coupled with a high-fidelity canine simulator mannequin. The Rescuer BLS/ALS live-training modules takes approximately 7 hours and includes a skills assessment at the completion of each portion of the hands-on wetlab.
Participants who successfully complete the course will be provided with:
Digital certificate of completion for RECOVER CPR BLS & ALS Rescuer training
Digital “RECOVER Certified BLS & ALS Rescuer®” badge
Access to BLS & ALS certified veterinary professional content on RECOVER website
Eligibility for consideration for certification as a RECOVER certified BLS/ALS Instructor®

Prerequisite: The online RECOVER BLS and ALS modules must be completed (and up to date) prior to the day of the course to be eligible to attend the Rescuer training. Eligibility will be verified with RECOVER. Registration for the online modules or refresher online modules can be found here.

This course is identical in objective and scope to the high fidelity version, but in place of the high fidelity mannequin, the simulator software is paired with a static mannequin, reducing the overall cost of the course.
This course will review key concepts and provide practical training using simulated scenarios of BLS. The ALS training is conducted with veterinary-specific simulation software coupled with a static mannequin. The Rescuer BLS/ALS live-training modules takes approximately 7 hours and includes a skills assessment at the completion of each portion of the hands-on wetlab.
